Are you using the NinjaTrader platform and want to integrate high-quality market data? With the TAI-PAN data feeds, you can reliably supply your NinjaTrader system with the most accurate market quotes.
In this quick guide, we will show you step-by-step how to import the required NinjaScript and set up TAI-PAN as a data source in NinjaTrader.
When you sign up for the TAI-PAN data feed, you will receive an email from us containing your user ID, your password, and an important link to the **NinjaTrader Script by Lenz+Partner** [00:00:16].
Click on this link and download the provided ZIP file (it is best to save it in your Downloads folder or on your desktop) [00:00:40].
**Step 1: Start & Log Into NinjaTrader**
Start your NinjaTrader software. If you are using version 8.1 (or newer), first log in with your NinjaTrader.com user credentials [00:01:00].
**Step 2: Import NinjaScript**
Once the Control Center is open, click on **Tools** in the top menu > **Import** > **NinjaScript** [00:01:49].
Now select the previously downloaded ZIP file and click Open. (Confirm with "Yes" if you are asked whether existing files should be replaced) [00:02:12].
**Step 3: Restart Software**
After a few seconds, you will receive a success message. For the changes to take effect, you must completely close NinjaTrader and then restart it [00:02:32].
**Step 4: Configure Connection**
After the restart, go to **Connections** in the Control Center and select **configure** at the bottom [00:03:33].
Look for the entry **Lenz and Partner data** in the upper list ("Available") and add it to the configured connections below [00:03:45].
**Step 5: Enter TAI-PAN Credentials**
Now enter your **Customer Number** (User ID) and your **Password** from our email into the corresponding fields and confirm with "OK" [00:04:00].
If you now click on "Connections" and select the Lenz+Partner Feed, the indicator will light up green – your data is flowing, and you can directly open new charts [00:04:21]!
When upgrading from NinjaTrader 8.0 to 8.1, it occasionally happens that futures are no longer displayed or updated correctly [00:04:58].
The reason for this is a change in symbol formatting. In version 8.0, contract months were displayed numerically (e.g., "0323" for March 2023). In version 8.1, the default setting is often changed to the format "March 23" or "H" [00:05:27].
**The Solution:** You need to change the settings in NinjaTrader accordingly to **"numeric"**. You can also find a detailed screenshot guide for this in the FAQs on our support website LP-Software.de [00:05:39].
Yes, the TAI-PAN data feed is fully compatible with NinjaTrader 8.1 (as well as the older version 8.0). For a seamless connection, you only need the current NinjaTrader Script from Lenz+Partner, which we will provide to you directly via email upon registration.
If you have updated from NinjaTrader 8.0 to 8.1, you might experience issues with the display and updating of futures. This is due to a changed default setting for contract months. Simply change the symbol formatting in the NinjaTrader settings to "numeric". After that, the TAI-PAN data will load flawlessly again.
